Should you need to cut a length of plant

1 Lay the plants over on their sides
2 Measure the length of plants you need
3 Put the tip of your spade in the gap after the length you require.
4 Firmly cut through between the two plants making sure they are completely separated.
5 Plant the required section

When all the plants are in place backfill the trench with soil. Push soil between the trench walls and the roots, ensuring that there are no air pockets left. Firm the plants in and make sure that they are upright when you have finished.
